TRACK & FIELD
PROGRAM
The spring youth track and field training program spans mid-February to mid-June (sometimes July, if athletes qualify for the USATF Junior Olympic Championships). We typically focus on running events.
It is open to boys and girls ages 7-15, with a minimum fitness level of running. As a safety precaution, an athlete must be able to run continuously for 25 minutes and a single mile in 8:00 minutes or less.
JOIN OUR TRACK & FIELD SEASON
Practices & Workouts
There are 4 practices per week held at various locations in Danville and Pleasanton. Please contact the Head Coach of each respective group to determine specific days and locations.
Track Meets
We believe racing allows our athletes to push to their highest potential. Therefore, our season typically includes the following Club supported events:
-
Hosting one (1) Mini Meet, where athletes are introduced to racing in at a smaller event at a local track.
-
One to two Mini Meets hosted by other track and field teams.
-
One regional track meet.
-
Pacific Association Championship Meet (usually early June).
-
Top 5 Junior Olympic Qualifier Meet (end of June)
-
USATF Junior Olympics (July)
The Club provides coach support for the athletes that qualify to race at the final two meets.
2022 Track & Field Fees
$425 for the first athlete
$400 for each additional sibling
The program covers costs associated with insurance, race fees for Club supported meets, coaches' stipends, equipment, supplies, and facility permits.
Athletes are welcome to join us for a trial workout to determine program fit.
Please Note: Due to the rising costs of track and field permitting costs, parents will be asked to reimburse the Club when their athlete misses a meet where fees are paid by the Club, with the exception of Coach-excused absences.
